Sejima
Kazuyo Sejima (born 1956) is a distinguished Japanese architect known for her refined minimalism and innovative spatial strategies. As co-founder of SANAA (Sejima and Nishizawa and Associates), she has produced a critically acclaimed body of work characterized by transparency, fluid circulation, and an ethereal material palette. Her major projects include the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa, the Rolex Learning Center in Lausanne, and the New Museum in New York. In 2010, she became the first woman to direct the Venice Architecture Biennale solo and, alongside Ryue Nishizawa, received the Pritzker Architecture Prize for their influential work.
